A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to work for a top residential developer on a large 1700 unit residential scheme in North London. This opportunity is for someone who is looking for a long-term career, and in return my client will supply commercial management mentoring, exposure into other areas of the business, an attractive salary package and further progression in your career.
Procurement in line with the cost plan and programme.
Management of subcontract works, financial reporting and monthly valuation and payment processes.
Carry out scope reviews, gap analysis and review of risks and opportunities.
Liaison with architects and consultants to provide continuous value engineering of design concepts and proposals.
Assist with management of design team deliverables to ensure adequate information flow in line with programme requirements
Monitoring changes so as to continuously identify the status of costs.
To establish subcontract sources early in the programme so that they can contribute to the design of the project in terms of value engineering.
Implement and maintain cost reporting systems on site in line with Company procedures.
Assist the Development team with preconstruction advice where necessary in the appraisal of future Phases and/or development opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
Residential background from a developer or a main contractor is ideal but not required
Contract awareness and understanding
Proven track record of delivery in a fast-paced construction environment
Credible, and comfortable in dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders
2 or more years’ experience as a quantity surveyor experience with working on different packages
