Senior Buyer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Buyer to join a leading residential developer based in London. This role offers a competitive salary with a car allowance, discretionary bonus, and a range of excellent benefits.

About the Role:

As the Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for the procurement of materials for residential development projects. You’ll work closely with the project team to ensure the financial and operational success of each development, from initial setup to project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare material tenders for multiple projects.
• Manage supplier accounts, raise payments, and review price increases.
• Procure materials in line with project budgets and delivery timelines.
• Drive value engineering opportunities by reviewing design and scope information.
• Provide financial oversight for material budgets and report on cost movements.
• Attend design team meetings and review drawing changes.
• Ensure the buying function is in line with the company’s commercial policies and procedures.

About You:

• Proven experience in material procurement for residential developments, ideally within London.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Track record of delivering large residential schemes from development through to planning approval.
• Able to engage with cross-functional teams (Technical, Sales, Construction, Finance, etc.).
