About the Role

A dynamic, multi-disciplinary consultancy in Central London is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a growing pipeline of residential and mixed-use projects.

You’ll work alongside Senior QSs and Project Managers to manage cost and procurement processes from early feasibility through to final account. This is a great opportunity for someone with PQS or cost consultancy experience who’s looking to take on more responsibility and gain exposure to complex, design-led schemes in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the commercial management of multiple projects (new build and refurbishment)
  • Prepare early-stage cost estimates, feasibility studies, and cost plans
  • Support the tendering process, including preparation of tender documents and analysis of returns
  • Help draft and administer JCT contracts
  • Contribute to monthly valuations, cost reporting, and change management
  • Monitor project budgets, assist with cash flow forecasting, and value engineering
  • Work directly with clients and contractor teams under guidance of senior staff
  • Assist in assessing variations and preparing final accounts
  • Support Senior QSs and Directors with project delivery and reporting
  • Contribute to sustainability-focused cost planning where applicable
  • Take part in internal knowledge sharing and continuous professional development

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Working knowledge of JCT contract forms and procurement processes
  • Experience with residential or mixed-use developments is preferred
  • Progressing toward APC or currently enrolled (support will be provided)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with good attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel and cost management software (e.g. CostX or equivalent)
  • Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Organised, proactive, and keen to develop within a supportive team
