Blayze Group are currently recruiting for a Site Manager on behalf of a highly regarded residential developer, to join the construction team on a major Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) development in Wembley.

The development comprises two high-rise reinforced concrete frame blocks, providing approximately 1,000 student accommodation units, with completion scheduled for late 2028.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager, or an ambitious Assistant Site Manager looking to take the next step in their career, to gain valuable experience delivering a major London development.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of allocated RC frame and façade packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Working closely with the wider construction team, you will manage subcontractors, coordinate structural and external works, monitor progress and ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing and coordinating RC frame and façade subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the construction programme.

Overseeing structural works, including reinforcement, formwork, concrete pours and associated quality inspections. Coordinating façade installation, including fixings, insulation, cavity barriers, fire-stopping and weatherproofing. Managing interfaces between the RC frame, façade and follow-on trades, identifying and resolving sequencing issues. Preparing and monitoring short-term look-ahead programmes, reporting progress and potential delays to the Senior Site Manager.

Ensuring quality assurance procedures are followed, including inspections, snagging, defect management and maintaining accurate site records.

Monitoring subcontractor performance, site logistics, material deliveries and resource requirements. Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across all allocated works. Attending subcontractor coordination meetings and providing regular progress updates to the wider project team.

The Candidate

We are looking for a Site Manager with practical experience delivering RC frame and façade packages on large-scale residential or mixed-use developments.

The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:

Previous experience working for a residential developer or main contractor on reinforced concrete frame developments. A good technical understanding of RC frame construction, including reinforcement, concrete placement, structural tolerances and temporary works. Experience managing or assisting with the delivery of façade and external envelope packages. The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and programmes. Strong subcontractor coordination and organisational skills. A good understanding of quality assurance procedures, health and safety requirements and construction sequencing. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an established construction team. Experience using construction management systems such as Procore, Asta Powerproject or similar would be advantageous.

Applications will also be considered from experienced Assistant Site Managers who have gained relevant RC frame and façade experience and are ready to progress into a Site Manager position.
