Site Manager – Internal Fit Out

Blayze Group are currently recruiting for a Site Manager on behalf of a highly regarded residential developer, to join the construction team on a major Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) development in Wembley.

The development comprises two high-rise reinforced concrete frame blocks, providing approximately 1,000 student accommodation units, with completion scheduled for late 2028.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager, or an ambitious Assistant Site Manager looking to take the next step in their career, to gain valuable experience delivering the internal fit-out and finishing packages on a major London development.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of allocated internal fit-out packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Working closely with the wider construction team, you will coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, manage the sequencing of internal trades and oversee the progression of works through to final completion, snagging and handover.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing and coordinating internal fit-out subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the construction programme.
Overseeing internal packages, including drylining, partitions, ceilings, carpentry, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and final finishes.
Coordinating MEP installations and interfaces with internal trades to ensure works progress efficiently.
Managing the sequencing of trades from first fix through to second fix, final finishes and completion.
Preparing and monitoring short-term look-ahead programmes, identifying potential delays and reporting progress to the Senior Site Manager.
Carrying out regular quality inspections, managing snagging and ensuring all works meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Coordinating material deliveries, site logistics and subcontractor resources across allocated work areas.
Ensuring completed works are adequately protected and maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
Maintaining accurate quality assurance records, inspection documentation and defect close-out reports.
Ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are maintained throughout all internal construction activities.

The Candidate

We are looking for a Site Manager with practical experience delivering internal fit-out packages on large-scale residential, student accommodation or mixed-use developments.

The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:

Previous experience working for a residential developer or main contractor on major residential developments.
A strong understanding of internal fit-out and finishing packages, including trade sequencing and coordination.
Experience managing subcontractors through first fix, second fix, final finishes and handover.
The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and programmes.
A good understanding of quality assurance procedures, snagging and defect management.
Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple trades simultaneously.
A good understanding of health and safety requirements and construction site procedures.
Experience using construction management systems such as Procore, Asta Powerproject or similar would be advantageous.

Applications will also be considered from experienced Assistant Site Managers who have gained relevant internal fit-out experience and are ready to progress into a Site Manager position.
