About the Role
Senior Quantity Surveyor
Central London (Hybrid Working)
£75,000 – £80,000 + package
The Opportunity
We’re working with a growing, design-led consultancy delivering high-profile residential and mixed-use schemes across London.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a lead commercial role across multiple projects, working closely with clients and senior stakeholders.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a client-facing, leadership role with clear progression to Associate level.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to final account, acting as the key commercial lead.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the full commercial lifecycle from cost planning through to final account
- Managing and producing detailed cost plans and benchmarking exercises
- Leading tendering and procurement processes on large-scale projects
- Running interim valuations, payment processes and contractor negotiations
- Managing change control, variations and employer’s instructions
- Producing cash flow forecasts and monthly client reports
- Acting as the main client point of contact on your projects
- Managing contractor relationships, disputes and final accounts
- Supporting and mentoring junior QS team members
- Leading client presentations and commercial meetings
About You
We’re looking for a commercially astute and confident individual who can lead projects and build strong client relationships.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within consultancy or developer environments
- Strong knowledge of residential or mixed-use projects
- Experience managing projects from pre-contract through to delivery
- Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
- Ability to lead meetings and manage client relationships independently
- Experience mentoring or managing junior team members
Qualifications:
MRICS (or working towards) Relevant construction or commercial degree
Salary & Package
- £75,000 – £80,000 basic salary
