This role is working for a well-known company with offices nationwide. It is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door of a prestigious firm and take on an extremely varied and interesting role. This role will be based in the Stockport office and will be reporting into the Head of Facilities.
This role will have the following responsibilities:
Responsibility for procurement, maintenance, management, monitoring and audit regimes for mechanical and electrical systems, hard and soft services as well as implementing policies and procedures which govern statutory health and safety requirements.
Responsibility for assisting with the tendering and procurement of service contracts, the assessment of quotes and fees to ensure best value and deliverability.
Attend and contribute to progress monitoring meetings with key maintenance contractors to monitor compliance against contract scope of works and progress with the planned preventative maintenance activity.
Supervise the maintenance audit regimes and safe systems of work, and actively manage continuous improvement by contractors.
Issuing parking tickets.
Seek greater efficiencies and better working practices in order to improve the quality of service delivery across the portfolio.
Ensure contractors are “Safe Contractor” registered and work in accordance with current Health & Safety at Work legislation.
Undertake regular reviews of contractors Health & Safety obligations and paperwork including of all life safe systems, mechanical and electrical, lifting and access equipment, and permit to work management.
Ensure Permit(s) to Work processes are in place across your region and are being correctly issued where needed.
Undertake regular periodic site audits to ensure site log books H&S records are being correctly maintained, up to date and complete at all times.
If required, to co-operate fully and promptly with any accident investigation.
Be willing to undertake training and development.
Any other duties which may be required in the interest of the smooth and efficient running of the building.
You will need the following to be considered for the role:
Previous experience in customer facing roles.
Basic knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
Excellent knowledge of the built environment and services.
