Successful graduates of the 2017 Berkeley Group Customer Service Academy will go on to become Customer Service Managers providing a World Class level of service, support and guidance to Berkeley Group's customers in London and the South East.

Although no previous property industry experience is necessary, candidates must have the right attitude and personality and be passionate and focused on wanting to deliver a first class customer experience.

Successful candidates will be offered a comprehensive training programme at the Customer Service Academy before being assigned to an operational unit. An initial six weeks of intensive training - part theory and part practical - will ensure that you are thoroughly prepared to deliver world class customer service.

As a Customer Services Manager you will guide customers throughout the buying and post-completion process, ensuring they have an exceptional experience. Specifically you will undertake the following:

  • Manage the buying process from post-reservation through to the 2 year warranty period and beyond
  • Implement Berkeley Group's continuous drive to deliver excellent customer service by managing the customer journey and consistently exceeding customer expectations
  • Dealing with a varied customer base in a friendly, polite and professional manner
  • Ensure customers are kept updated as to the progress of their property, and on moving in, any issues that may arise thereafter
  • Ensure internal departments are kept updated as to the status of customers purchases - legal status, which options have been selected etc

To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Self driven, results orientated with a positive outlook
  • Strong customer facing and presentation skills
  • Reliable, tolerant and determined with a resilient nature
  • Calm, credible and comfortable dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Good team player
  • Good listening and verbal communication skills - accurate and empathic communicator (able to see things from others points of view)
  • Able to demonstrate basic computer literacy
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise
  • Good time management skills
  • Positive and confident attitude
