Senior Surveyor - Bank Monitoring - Residential, Office and Hotels

It's not often that an opportunity to join a monitoring team as a number 2 to the Partner in charge comes up. I am currently working on a retained search for a leading, national project and cost consultancy and due to an increase in workload, they are looking for a professional, yet personable monitoring surveyor to help grow the division. With an impressive client list consisting of private investors, boutique and global banks, this is an opportunity with true growth potential. Whether it's stepping away from a big team for something with more autonomy, or leaving the corporate environment for something with the same credibility but less process, this is an opportunity worth exploring.

You will be an MRICS quantity surveyor or building surveyor with recent experience of project monitoring. My client's projects fall predominantly within the high-end residential sector and although experience in this field is desirable, it's not essential. The office itself incorporates professionalism with personality and the Partners have worked hard to continue the family feel of the organisation, albeit now employing over 100 talented members of staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Monitoring/Fund advisory for major and boutique banks
  • Client liaison with high-end clients
  • Technical Due Diligence
  • Initial and progress report writing
  • Business development

Requirements:

  • BSc Degree in Building Surveying or Quantity Surveying
  • MRICS
  • Good level of experience in project monitoring
  • Understanding of development and funding process
  • Good technical knowledge and experience in construction projects
  • Committed to specialising in project monitoring
  • Client facing and comfortable with business development
  • Able to handle multiple jobs and manage own workload
  • Strong communication skills, verbally and written

In return, you will be offered:

  • Salary up to £65,000 (DOE)
  • Generous car allowance
  • Competitive bonus scheme
  • Genuine career progression
  • Private healthcare
  • Life insurance
  • Family friendly environment
