The inaugural Blayze Group Property Five-a-Side tournament held at Power League Shoreditch in August brought together Developers, Consultancies, Architects, Designers and specialist Recruiters for a fun day of footie and networking in glorious sunshine.
Apart from the opportunity to get out of the office and make some connections in an informal environment, the real purpose of the event was to raise money for the property industry's charity - LandAid. LandAid does great work across the UK helping to bring an end to youth homelessness, and Blayze Group is always keen to support events organised by LandAid and others in the industry that help this cause.
So it was with particular pleasure that Harvey Gretton, Blayze Group MD and Leo Gee, Associate Director were able to present LandAid Chief Executive Paul Morrish with a cheque for £681.80 that was raised from the event.
Harvey Gretton said, "Blayze Group is a keen supporter of LandAid and we are delighted to make any contribution we can to help. Those of us who work in the property sector are well aware of the problems of youth homelessness and it is important as an industry that we do what we can to help. By continuing to support LandAid, the property sector can make a real difference to the lives of many young people in challenging circumstances. We look forward to supporting LandAid for many years to come and we encourage all businesses in property to join us."
Leo Gee said, "We're already looking forward to next year's tournament which will be bigger and better - and we hope to be presenting LandAid with a larger cheque! Many thanks to all who took part this year - and we look forward to seeing you all in 2017."
Many thanks to the companies who participated in the 2016 Blayze Group Property Five-a-Side tournament - including Aitch Group, Berkeley St James, Bilfinger GVA, DBK, EPR Architects, Hollybrook Homes, LOM Architects, Turner & Townsend and Watts Group.
Thanks to everyone at Blayze Group who helped on the day and the team at Power League for their help in running the event.
LandAid brings the property industry together to support charities delivering life-changing services for young people who are or have been homeless, or who are at risk of homelessness in the future. LandAid's goal is to end youth homelessness by 2026.
