At our recent CPD day held at the Royal Institute of British Architects iconic headquarters building at Portland Place in the heart of London, Blayze Group staff from London and Manchester offices gathered for a day of recruiting excellence - teambuilding, training and lots of discussion on best practice in real estate recruitment.
Regular events like these are a valuable part of Blayze Group's commitment to the ongoing training and career development of staff at all levels in the organisation.
A highlight of this successful day was the Real Estate Quiz, where mixed teams from different desks competed to answer questions on Architecture, Construction, Housing, Infrastructure, Planning, Politics, Regeneration Projects and pretty much everything else relating to the built environment.
Blayze Group consultants take great pride their knowledge of their specialists fields, so it came as no surprise when questions on housing completions, property prices and London development projects were quickly met with correct responses. Even though the contents of the recent budget hadn't yet made it through parliamentary process, our quick witted contestants were happy to offer a surprising level of detail on the policy content.
The winning team comprised Leo Gee (Consultancy), Linus Hornsey-Pennell (Architecture & Design) and Alan Gosnell (Production) from the London Office and Mike Miller who has recently joined the team in Manchester.
Inexplicably named 'Cambridge', the winners impressed their competitors and colleagues with their broad range of knowledge across several disciplines. Whether identifying iconic buildings, famous (and not so famous) architects, politicians and captains of industry, it was clear that when it comes to Real Estate, 'Cambridge' really knew their stuff.
Following an entertaining and educational afternoon, the victors and the vanquished repaired to a nearby hostelry for a brief refreshment and further sharing of insights into best practice in the world of real estate recruiting.
Blayze Group specialises in the Real Estate sector, so it is vital that our consultants keep up with industry news and trends. Many of our senior consultants come from the industry and our breadth and depth of knowledge about the sector and the key people in it are one of the main differentiators for our unique, consultative approach to talent search, selection and retention.
New recruits at Blayze Group undertake a rigorous training programme to bring them up to speed with specialist industry sectors, best practice in recruitment and our Blayze Group values which ensure ethical and professional behaviour at all times.
